Arthur Clarke goes to London, and gets a government job as an auditor with H.M. Exchequer & Audit Department. He soon connects with fellow science fiction enthusiasts and ‘space cadets’ in London

BIS headquarters moves from Liverpool to London. Arthur Clarke spends all his spare time in reading and writing about space travel. Sometimes he publishes under pseudonyms ‘Ego’, ‘Arthur Ego Clarke’ or ‘E.G.O’Brien’
